Green Wave Baseball got their first two wins of summer ball last week, defeating Lakeshore on Monday 10-2 and defeating Refuel Varsity 4-1 on Tuesday. Against Lakeshore, a five-run seventh inning highlighted by a bases- clearing double from Gage Walker helped propel the boys to a win.

Back in my day

Back in my day, we didn’t need no “smartphones” to have fun. We had a stick, a ditch, and an imagination. And if you were real lucky, your cousin had a busted-up inner tube you could ride down the bayou – until the gators started looking curious. That’s how we learned to swim real fast.
