The Wednesday Volunteers for Family and Community gathered at the Carter Plantation Country Club for their annual Christmas party. The group celebrated with lunch, coffee and bread pudding.Committee Chairperson Susan Melancon decorated the room beautifully!

Reindeer Run Brings Holiday Cheer

Hammond, Louisiana — The 13th annual Reindeer Run, Hammond’s holiday 5K and one-mile fun run, brought the community together once again to support Restoration House, a nonprofit that provides free and confidential services to women facing unplanned pregnancies.

North Oaks Christmas Tree

Annual Christmas tree decorating in the main lobby at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. Gardenettes are members of District VI, Louisiana Garden Club Federation Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs Inc. and National Garden Clubs Inc. Gardenettes have been decorating at the hospital at least ten years.

Genesis Award

Paul’s Cafe receives the November-December 2025 Genesis Award. Accepting the honor is Becky Smith, second generation owner, who has continued the family tradition at this popular restaurant located in the center of town at 100 East Pine Street.
