District Attorney J. Collin Sims announces that on the second day of jury selection, 31-year-old Allen Edward Tate, Jr. of Abita Springs, Louisiana, abruptly pleaded guilty before the Honorable Judge Vincent J. Lobello.
After his guilty plea, Judge Lobello sentenced Tate to 50 years in prison without the possibility of parole, probation, or a suspended sentence.
