Many never expected anybody, especially a 16-yearold boy, to write about Independence. And many people weren’t expecting this team to have any fight left in them. “They’re either a good team in the first quarter or last quarter,” you say. But I’m here to tell you, “Get ready; this Independence team is great all around.”
You’re looking at it all wrong. It’s not about the record, the scoreboard, or the sponsors you have. If you have been keeping up with us this year, you know that the theme of these Tigers is HOPE. Listen to this. Hold On, Pain Ends. HOPE! And if anyone knows about pain, heartbreak, or failure, it’s these Tigers, not because of the record but because of every little thing the world has to throw at them.
