On August 14, 2026, the Hammond Police Department, in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, executed a search warrant at a residence off Log Cabin Lane for Chad Taylor, 20 years old of Hammond, related to the shooting that occurred on Apple Street on August 4, 2026.
