Arrest Made in Fatal Boating Incident

On August 22, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) enforcement agents arrested the operator of a boat involved in a tragic boating incident that occurred in Livingston Parish.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office says a Hammond man wanted for contractor fraud is now in custody. Nicholas Budowski, 46 of Hammond, is accused of taking payment for a residential renovation job in the Hammond area in June. However, he never returned to finish the project.
