Last weekend in the UFC, Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko fought to an epic draw. Grasso, the champion, defeated Shevchenko in their previous fight to win the belt. Grasso regained the title with a draw. I had the fight 3-2 in favor of Shevchenko but it certainly was no robbery.
If we ever needed a trilogy fight, these two deserve one. The fans deserve one. I have Amanda Nunez as the greatest female UFC fighter of all time. Shevchenko is, in my opinion, the 2nd greatest female UFC fighter of all time.
This fight is why I love the UFC so much and what makes MMA the fastest growing sport in the world. Both women had the other in trouble several times in this bout. We need a third fight, and these two certainly deserve ‘fight of the year’ consideration. Dana White, let’s get them back in the octagon once they heal up. A draw needs to be settled!
