The Krewe of Erin, the Northshore’s oldest Celtic organization, hosts the 2nd Annual Celtic Heritage Festival at 201 W. Magnolia Street on the Kiwanis Park grounds this Saturday and Sunday, September 23-24. Thanks to the generous support from our sponsors, the event admission is FREE and runs from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. Highlights of the 2nd Celtic Heritage Festival include Scottish and Irish music, a variety of local school performance groups, Celtic workshops, a silent auction, a wild game cook-off, Men in Kilts 80’s Music Dance Off, Little Merida contest, a kids’ zone, and vendors providing festival food and merchandise.
Free musical entertainment will include nationally known bands and performers: Kilts of Many Colours, Emerald Accent, Catherine Koeler, Cresent and Clover, Boston St. Ceili Band, Baton Rouge Caledonian Pipes and Drums, and Rickey Pittman. We are thrilled to bring such great Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama musicians to our faire city, along with local school music, cheer, and
