In Round 2 of the prep football playoffs, the Kangaroos and Kangaroo fans made the 2-hour and 25-minute trip to Ascension Episcopal on Friday, November 22, to take on the Blue Gators of Ascension Episcopal on their home turf.
Kentwood deferred the coin toss, letting Ascension Episcopal take the ball first. In the second play of the first drive, the Blue Gators scored, putting them up 7-0 early in the first quarter.
The Kangaroos would get their turn though, when Kentwood’s J. Brown, Jr. received a pass from A. Bickham and ran it in for the Kangaroos first score. The Kangaroos failed an attempt at a two-point conversion, and the Blue Gators were up 7-6 with 11:16 in first quarter.
