The Town Council of the Town of Kentwood, Louisiana met in a special session on Monday, May 6,
2024 at 6:30 P.M., at the Kentwood City Hall with Mayor Irma T. Gordon presiding. Mayor Gordon
called the meeting to order, following the opening prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
The roll was called with the following results:
Present: Gary Callihan, Michael Hall, Paul Stewart, Jakoiya Wilkerson
Absent: Xavier Diamond
Mayor Gordon and the Council discussed rules and regulations to install underground utilities.
A motion was offered by Councilwoman Wilkerson, second by Councilman Callihan and unanimously
carried to adopt a resolution setting underground utility permit fees at $250 as an administrative fee and
$0.25 for each foot of the ground length of the project for each permit applied.
A motion was offered by Councilwoman Wilkerson, second by Councilman Hall and unanimously
carried to adopt a resolution setting the rules and regulations for installing underground utilities.
A motion was offered by Councilwoman Wilkerson, second by Councilman Hall and unanimously
carried to set a Special Hearing to address Abandoned Properties for May 28, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.
A motion was offered by Councilwoman Wilkerson, second by Councilman Hall and unanimously
carried to adjourn.
