Al Psychosis- an Emerging Cyber Crisis

Having recently written about a small number of people who have fallen in love with their Al boyfriends and girlfriends, I didn’t think I'd be mentioning the subject again this soon, yet here we are.

Recently, a story was written about the parents of a 16-yearold who took his own life, and they ended up filing a wrongful death suit against Open Al, which owns ChatGPT. The parents said that after their son expressed suicidal thoughts, ChatGPT started to discuss ways the teenager could end his own life.

After the teenager took his life, Open Al, who owns ChatGPT, told NBC News, “ChatGPT includes safeguards such as directing people to crisis helplines and referring them to realworld resources.”
