A special public community meeting was held at the Village of Tangipahoa
City Hall located at 12616 Jackson Street, Tangipahoa, LA 70465 on
August 29, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Mayor Gray called the meeting to order.
Alderwoman Pamela Bean, Alderman Willis Smith, and Alderman
Rodriguez were present. Mayor Gray opened the meeting for residents to
voice their concerns. We had a few citizens inquire about the increase in
the utility rates. A concerned citizen suggested that the community come
together to cut the grass on Highway 51. Another citizen said she has
brown water from time to time. A few citizens had a variety of requests,
which included: the Franklin Street hole can be filled with dirt, street signs
to be put back up, ditching, and sidewalks on Hwy 440. The meeting was
adjourned at 7:36 pm.
