PUBLIC NOTICE
In relation to Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Case 2024048378, we are
seeking any individuals who had rented a storage unit at the Storage Units of America, located at
14189 W University Avenue, Hammond, LA, from the year of 2024 to May of 2025 and had items
stolen or your unit burglarized during that time. We have collected numerous items that remain
unclaimed and are in our evidence facility. If you are missing items from your unit from that time
frame, please contact our agency to set up an appointment to hopefully claim your items. You will
need to provide proof in person of the unit you rented during this time, as well as a description of the
items impacted because of theft.
In accordance with the Louisiana Code of Criminal Procedure 228.3, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s
Office will seek approval from the 21st Judicial District Courts to dispose of unclaimed property that
was lost, stolen, seized, or relinquished during investigations. Unless claimed by the owner, the
property will proceed to be disposed of in accordance with Louisiana law. If the owner is/was known,
a certified letter was mailed to the last known owner at their last known address.

Various tools (Brands include Dewalt, Husqvarna, Craftsman, Black & Decker, Ryboi, Echo)
Multiple televisions of various brands and sizes
Multiple cellular devices and computers/laptops
Wooden shoeshine box
Electric mandolin
Kitchen appliances
Drone
Archery/Hunting equipment
Gaming consoles and accessories
Household goods
Clothing
Assorted documents
Other various items
To claim property, you can contact TPSO at 985-902-2088 Monday through Friday between the hours
of 8am to 4pm to set up an appointment. You must bring a valid ID, and either the certified letter,
proof of ownership, or a copy of a police report where the item was documented as lost or stolen.
