Monthly Council Meeting Minutes
The Village of Tickfaw Council met in a monthly meeting at 5:00pm on
December 09, 2025. Mayor Lamonte called the meeting to order, Councilman
Galofaro, Councilman Fedele, Councilman Lemay, Chief DiBenedetto, and
Attorney Trippi all were present. All present received and reviewed the
monthly financial statements. The invocation was done by Mayor Lamonte
followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

b) Update on Love’s Truck Stop / Jamie Watson
- Loves is still waiting on permits
13. New Business-
a) Jimmy Sparacello on two matters
- Mr. Sparacello had concerns about the bridge street church. The council made a
motion to put this on the January 13, 2026, agenda. Motion made by Fedele 2 nd
Galofaro Votes 3
- Mr. Sparacello’s concerns about the Italian Festival’s property that will be
moved from RR Ave in Tickfaw, were addressed. The minutes from past
meetings reflected that the festival has until February 2026 to move.
b) Pay raise for Chief of Police – Steve Galofaro
- An introduction to Ordinance 146 and motion was made by Galofaro to set for
public hearing on January 13, 2026, at 4:45 pm
c) Pay raise for Clerk – Mayor
- No Introduction was made.
d) Pay raise for Mayor – Mayor
- No introduction was made.
14. Police Chief Report
- Chief DiBenedetto would like to remind everyone of the Veteran’s Wreaths
Ceremony this Sunday at 11am and the Christmas Parade at 5:30 pm.
- Calls for service were presented.

- Happy Holidays

- Council wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
- Councilman Fedele would also like to wish a Happy Heavenly Birthday to his
Son, Daughter- in-law and Grandbaby.
15. Mayor Report
- The town received a $25,000.00 grant for building improvements for City Hall.
- Mayor wishes everyone a Merry Christmas.
