NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC – TANGIPAHOA PARISH GOVERNMENT
Tangipahoa Parish Government proposes to undertake a project at the Tangipahoa
Parish Jail located in Amite, Louisiana. The proposed project includes the installation of
additional exterior perimeter security fencing, as well as improvements to security
camera and intercom system. These improvements are intended to reduce the risk of
unauthorized access and inmate escapes and to enhance security and control.
Funding for this project will be provided through the Resilient Communities
Infrastructure Program (RCIP), administrated by Office of Community Development. The
total estimated cost of the project, including installation, is approximately $1,150,000.00.
Tangipahoa Parish Government invites public comments or questions regarding this
proposed project. All comments or inquiries must be received on or before Wednesday,
February 11, 2026, by 3:00 p.m.
