A public hearing was held at the Village of Tangipahoa City Hall, 12616 Jackson Street, Tangipahoa, LA 70465, on January 13, 2026, at 5:30 pm. Mayor Gray called the meeting to order, and the Municipal Clerk Allicie Briggs established a quorum. Mayor Pro Tem Bean and Alderman Willis Smith are present; Alderman Rodriguez is absent. Mayor Gray read the following:

FY 2021 LCDBG Water System Improvements Project

Information for presentation at the Project Close-Out Hearing:

The Village of Tangipahoa is closing its FY 2021 Louisiana Community Development Block Grant for the Water System Improvements project. The project site was located at the fenced water well and tank site on D.A. Alexander Street, Tangipahoa, Louisiana (Lat. 30.87723, Long.- 90.514511). The Water System Improvements project included abandoning existing Water Well No. 1 and refurbishing existing Water Well No. 2, inspecting and refurbishing the existing water tower, installing electrical instrumentation and controls, and installing a chlorination system with a fiberglass building.

All federal requirements pertaining to Fair Housing, Equal Employment Opportunities, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Minority Businesses have been met. All contract conditions between the State of Louisiana and the Town of Roseland have been met to date. There have been no public comments on the implementation of this program. If there are no comments on the town’s implementation of the 2021 LCDBG project, the town will proceed with the close-out of this project.

There were no attendees at this public hearing. Upon motion by Mayor Pro Tem Bean and seconded by Alderman Smith, the motion is passed to close out the FY-2021 LCDBG Project.

Upon motion by Alderwoman Bean and seconded by Alderman Smith the meeting is adjourned at 5:35 pm.
