A public meeting was held at the Village of Tangipahoa City Hall, 12616 Jackson Street, Tangipahoa, LA 70465, on January 13, 2026, at 6:00 pm. Mayor Gray called the meeting to order, and the Municipal Clerk Allicie Briggs established a quorum. Mayor Pro Tem Bean Alderman, Alderman Willis Smith, and Alderman Rodriguez are present. Upon motion by Alderwoman Bean and seconded by Alderman Smith, the minutes for December 9, 2025, Public Meeting are approved. Upon motion by Alderman Smith and seconded by Alderwoman Bean, the motion is carried to approve the Special Meeting Minutes from Dec. 22, 2025. Chief Martin is absent from the Tangipahoa Police Department Updates. Upon motion by Alderman Smith and seconded by Alderwoman Bean, the motion is carried, granting Natalbany Rentals an Occupational License for 2026. Mr. Eslam Odeh requested annexation of his property. Mr. Odeh is informed that a meeting will be scheduled with Mayor Gray and Attorney Williams for further information. Upon motion by Alderwoman Bean and seconded by Alderman Smith, without any public comments, the motion is carried to approve Resolution 1 of 2026 Authorizing and Requiring New Utility Customers to Pay All Costs Associated with Connection to the VOT Water and Sewer Systems. There are no public comments. In Mayor Gray’s Updates she informed the board that the village will have Love the Boot Clean up day on April 25, 2026, at 10:00 am. All lift stations are currently operating. The Village will schedule a smoke test with the Louisiana Rural Water Association. The meeting is adjourned at 6:18 pm by motion of Alderwoman Bean and seconded by Alderman Smith.
