Minutes of the Board of Commissioners of Gravity Drainage District #5 of Tangipahoa Parish,
La. held on Monday January 19, 2026, the regular meeting place, City Hall, 308 Ave G
Kentwood, La.
The Board of Commissioners of Gravity Drainage District #5 of Tangipahoa Parish, La. met on
the above date in regular session and was called to order by the President, Russ Carter, and the
following members present:
Present: Ronald Robertson, Michael Kazerooni, Tibbis Cooper, Russ Carter
Absent: Barrett Travis
The roll call showed a quorum to be present. Whereupon a motion was made by Tibbis Cooper
duly seconded by Ronald Robertson, unanimously carried that the reading of the minutes of the
meetings dated December 15, 2025, be dispensed with and that they be adopted as of record and
published in the official journal.
Any public comments at this time were taken.
Old Business: None
New Business:
The Financial report on the general condition of the district was given. A motion was made by
Michael Kazerooni duly seconded by Tibbis Cooper and unanimously carried, that the report of
the Secretary Treasurer report be approved, and all bills are approved to be paid.
Discussion was had on future projects when the board receives more money. Also discussed the
RFP will run out on February 19 th so a new RFP will be voted on at the February meeting. Mr.
Simeon was present and said he would have something for the board. Also, the board asked for
anyone else who wants to place a bid to please contact a board member.
With no other business appearing before the board a motion was made by Tibbis Cooper duly
seconded by Michael Kazerooni and unanimously carried the meeting adjourned.
