On a warm Sunday afternoon, when the cypress trees stood tall and quiet over the winding swamp waters, members of Girl Scout Troop 30017 set out with a simple mission. Armed with trash bags, gloves, boots, and a determined spirit, the Ponchatoula troop visited the swamp walk at Joyce Wildlife Management Area on April 19 to help clean up litter as part of Love the Boot Week.
