Minutes for a special meeting called by the Board of Commissioners of Gravity drainage District No. 4 of Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Amite City Hall in Amite, Louisiana.
The Board of Commissioners of Gravity Drainage District No. 4 met on the above date and was called to order by the president, Mrs. Lori B. Petitto, at 4:30 o’clock with the following members present:
Present: Lori B. Petitto, Lafete Tucker, Kyle Warren, James C. Ricks, Lionel Sutton
Absent: None
The president then called on Mr. Tucker to voice the invocation and pledge.
The roll showed a quorum to be present.
In attendance: Calvin Graham and LaDarius Gordon
On motion by Mrs. Petitto duly seconded by Mr. Warren and unanimously carried, the following action was taken:
Effective Tuesday, May 5, 2026, Mr. Calvin Graham will begin working with the current contract labor crew as a consultant as well as a fourth crew member. They will resume working in Roseland, where Mr. Gordon and his crew are located. For an approximate 3-month trial period, Mr. Graham will advise the contract labor crew on all locations to be maintained in the district and how to properly go through the ditches and not just keep the mouth of the ditches open. Mr. Graham will be hired at $16 per hour at 32 hours per week. After the trial period, the board will meet and consider Mr. Calvin’s continued assistance on a more permanent basis. It is expected that the crew will work well together to better serve the district’s needs. The crew will attend the next regular meeting dated, Monday, May 18, 2026, to discuss progress made and any changes that may be necessary. Mr. Graham will also take inventory of the equipment on hand. He was instructed to purchase any additional equipment needed from Eastside Garage.
No further business appearing, on motion by Mr. Warren duly seconded by Mr. Tucker and unanimously carried, the board adjourned.
