The Village of Montpelier met in Regular session on June 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kenneth Giardina.
A motion to add amend the agenda to include hiring an official CPA and Attorney for
the Village of Montpelier was made by Brad Davis seconded by Kevin Washington.
A motion to accept the minutes was made by Kevin Washington seconded by Mike
Ard. All yeas.
A motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report was made by Brad Davis seconded by Mike
Ard. All yeas.
A motion to pay the bills was made by Kevin Washington seconded by Brad Davis. All
yeas.
A motion to hire “The Tangi Times” as the official journal for the Village of Montpelier
for fiscal year beginning July1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027, was made by Brad
Davis seconded by Mike Ard. All yeas.
A motion to request payment to Feliciana Welders for Payment #4 in the amount
of $147,516.00 from the PHMSA grant was made by Mike Ard seconded by Kevin
Wasington. All yeas.
A motion to sign Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between Village of Montpelier and
Crimestoppers of Tangipahoa, Inc. was made by Kevin Washington seconded by Brad
Davis. All yeas.
A Motion to have James, Lambert, Riggs, and Associates to prepare budget for fiscal
year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending, was made by Kevin Washington seconded
by Mike Ard. All yeas.
A Motion to introduce the budget for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending
June 30, 2027, and to set a public hearing on June 29, 2026, at 7:00 was made by
Kevin Washington seconded by Mike Ard. All yeas.
A Motion to hire James, Lambert, Riggs, and Associates as the Village of Montpelier
official CPA for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027, was
made by Mike Ard seconded Brad Davis. All yeas.
A Motion to hire Clifton Speed as the Village of Montpelier official Attorney for
fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027, was made by Kevin
Washington second by Mike Ard. All yeas
A motion to adjourn was made by Mike Ard seconded by Kevin Washington. All yeas.
