CAROL ELAINE LAIRD FANCHER NOVEMBER 5, 1953 - MAY 17, 2025
Carol Fancher, 71, of Wesson, MS, passed away to her heavenly home on Saturday, May 17, 2025. She was born in Baton Rouge, LA on October 5, 1953, to Wilber Laird and Emilie Reeves Laird.
She was a member of the Baptist Faith. She was a loving homemaker. She enjoyed LSU and New Orleans Saints football. She loved shopping, fishing and spending time with her grandkids. “Mawmaw” was loving
wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Emilie Laird; and brothers Wilber Lee and Gordon Laird.
Survivors are her husband Alan Fancher of 33 years; sons Michael Kyzar, Sam Kyzar, and Joshua Kyzar; grandchildren Faith Kyzar, Payton Kyzar, Chelsea Heddington, Patrick Kyzar, Samantha Kyzar, Natalie O’Quinn and Ross O’Quinn; sister, Carrie Wagner; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 20, at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven, MS. Visitation was held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 20.
Kathy Ann Strickland; 73; Kentwood; May 20; survived by her husband, Jeff Strickland; daughters, Cindy Huber and Crystal Strickland; sons, Jim and Lonnie Wages; sister, Dorothy Phillip; brothers, Charles, Bobby, and Jimmy Studdard; grandchildren, Dustin, Cody, Amber, Rylie, Ethan, Corey, Sarah, and Cristina; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Janet Lynn Mitchell; 66; May 22; survived by her siblings, Deborah O’Shee (Jerry), Linda Tycer (Dwain), Alan Mitchell (Kelley), Ronny Mitchell (Louise), and Jason Mitchell; numerous nieces and nephews; Paige McVay (Ryan), who was loved dearly like a daughter; and their children Lucy and Fisher.
Bobbi Lee Carroll; 61; Ponchatoula; May 20; survived by her special cousin, David Carroll; faithful neighbors, Peggy, Melvin, and Tammy Sterling; and numerous other cousins.
Mary Ann “Max” Clement Stevenson; 80; Hammond; May 21; survived by her sister, LaVerne Arceneaux; godchild, Robyn Williams; sister-in-law, Garnet Clement; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mildred Baham; 99; Hammond; May 23; survived by her sister, Dorothy Sharon; grandchildren, Rochelle (Lee), Dee, and Sissy (Travis); granddaughter-in-law, Lena; great-grandsons, Greyson, Preston, Devin, Christian, Zachary, Jesse (Shaylee), Connor, and Trent; great-granddaughter, Mikayla; and great-great grandchildren, River, Maverick, Hayse, Rhett, Sebastian, and Seraphina.
