Glynis Gale “G.G.” McElveen, Jr., 77, of Roseland, passed away on February 5. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Davis McElveen; daughters, Kacey Leyrer (Greg) and Katie Derbins (Peter); son, Brandon McElveen (Ashley); sisters, Carol Jenkins and Pam Alston; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Gerard F. Nelson Sr., 89, of Hammond, passed away on February 7. He is survived by his Wife, Anne Hart (Nancy) Nelson; daughters, Deborah Mandella (Marcel), Kathryn Ames, and Susan Lee (Billy Mark); sons, Jerry (Tracie), Sidney, Timothy (Andrea); twelve grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Lt. Col. (retired) Arthur Neal Zieske

Lt. Col. (retired) Arthur Neal Zieske, 85, a resident of Ponchatoula, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. He was born in Cleveland, OH, on January 8, 1939, to William A. Zieske and Queen E. Whitehead Zieske. He and his wife, Patsy Jean. Were married in Cleveland on September 3, 1960.

Katherine (Kay) Gass Filip Meyer

Katherine (Kay) Gass Filip Meyer, 89, passed away on February 2. Kay leaves behind her son, Joseph (Dianne); daughters, Tess, Shari (Russell), and Melissa; brothers, John, Robert (Joan), and Lloyd (Dee); five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
