ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE TIME FOR REGULAR MEETINGS
OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Independence, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, a motion was made by Alderman Eric Costa to introduce Ordinance #2025-1128, which would change the time the Regular Meeting is held from 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
A public hearing was held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at the Regular Meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Independence.
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Independence, Independence, Louisiana on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, a motion was made by Eric Costa, seconded by Joe Galofaro, to adopt Ordinance #2025-1128. Voting to adopt was as follows:
YEAS: Larry Cardaronella, Eric Costa, Joe Galofaro, Mike Muscarello
NAYS: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAINED: None
Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Independence that the Independence Town Council will hold regular meetings on the second Tuesday of each month beginning at 5:30 PM. located at Independence City Hall.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon adoption by the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Independence and approval by the mayor.
