Monthly Council Meeting
The Village of Tickfaw Council met in a monthly meeting at 5:00pm on
October 14, 2025. Mayor Lamonte called the meeting to order, Councilman
Galofaro, Councilman Fedele, Councilman Lemay, Chief DiBenedetto, and
Attorney Trippi all were present. All present received and reviewed the
monthly financial statements. The invocation was done by Mayor Lamonte
followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Planning and Zoning Board made a recommendation to allow the 2013
Mobile Home into city limits on Maple St. Motion to approve made by

a) Dorothy Lane Matter
Property is currently being cleaned up.
b) Update on Love’s Truck Stop
Property owner received a six-month extension on purchase order and
Love’s is still working towards permits.
c) Adopt or Deny Ordinance for the Annexation of
El Ranchito Restaurant and Flea Market
Motion to adopt the ordinance 210 for the Annexation of El Ranchito
Restaurant and Flea Market made by Galofaro 2 nd Lemay Votes (3)
d) Possible blighted property on McGee Street in Tickfaw
Letter was sent to property owner, who was present at the meeting. Council
made a motion to give 90 days to clean up the property. Motion made by
Fedele 2 nd Galofaro Votes (3)
e) Ordinance for Parking on Village of Tickfaw Property
Motion to Introduce Ordinance and Set for Public Hearing on November 10,
2025, at 4:45 pm made by Galofaro
11. New Business-
a) Adopt or Deny the New Policy and Procedures Manual

b) Introduce Resolution for State Capital Outlay Project

c) Introduce Ordinance for Occupational License (Ordinance 95)
Motion made to Introduce and set for Public Hearing on November 10, 2025,

d) Approve the Louisiana Compliance Questionnaire for Auditors

e) Discuss Trick or Treating Times
Trick or Treating Times for City Limits of Tickfaw will be on Friday,
October 31, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm.
f) Discuss moving the November Council Meeting Date
A motion was made to move the monthly Council Meeting Date from
November 11 th to November 10, 2025, at 5pm. Motion made by Galofaro 2 nd
Fedele Votes (3)
g) Discuss Christmas Parade
Hunter Malnar approached Council with plans to bring back the Christmas
Parade to Tickfaw. A motion to approve the Christmas Parade by Fedele 2 nd
Galofaro Votes (3)
Malnar will return to November Council Meeting to set Date and Time of
Parade.
12. Police Chief Report
Chief would like to inform everyone of Pompeii Church’s Craft Show on Oct.
18 th from 10-4 and Oct. 19th from 11-5. He also, would like to announce that
Trunk or Treat at Pompeii Ballpark will be on October 26 th from 3-6pm.

14. Council Response
Galofaro – Nothing
Fedele – Would like to Compliment Malnar Tire for their clean up process.
Lemay – Would like to Thank everyone who had a part in his new Mobile
Home process.
15. Mayor Report
Mayor announced that approval of the grant for the Police Unit happened.
Mayor and Grant Writer John Dardis are currently working on Grants for
2026.
Mayor is working with Entergy towards getting grant funding for Christmas
Décor.
He would also like to replace the maintenance vehicle soon.
