TOWN OF AMITE CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
November 19, 2025
The Mayor and City Council of the Town of Amite City, Louisiana came together in
special session on the 19th day of November 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the meeting room of
City Hall, 212 E. Oak St., Amite, LA 70422.
Mayor Walter Daniels III called the meeting to order and asked City Clerk Jewel McCoy
for roll call.
Council members present:
Mayor Pro Tem Rose Sumrall
Shirley Core
Mose Guzzardo
Council members absent:
Maria Coleman
Kenyetta Richardson
Others in attendance:
City Manager Mark Kolwe
Prayer and Pledge
Guzzardo offered the opening prayer followed by Daniels leading the Pledge of
Allegiance.

Mayor Walter Daniels III
1. A motion was made by Guzzardo, seconded by Core to approve occupational
license for Southern Kustom Designs – 113 East Oak Street.
Motion passed with no objection.
2. A motion was made by Guzzardo, seconded by Sumrall to approve the Planning
and Zoning Committee’s recommendation to grant a variance for a modular
home to be placed at 411 Robin Street.
Motion passed with no objection.
A motion was made by Sumrall, seconded by Core to adjourn. Meeting adjourned.
