A public meeting was held at the Village of Tangipahoa City Hall, 12616 Jackson Street,
Tangipahoa, LA 70465, on March 10, 2026, at 6:00 pm.
Mayor Pro Tem Pamela Bean called the meeting to order, and the Municipal Clerk Allicie Briggs established a quorum. Alderman Willis Smith and Alderman Rodriguez are present. The Tangipahoa Police Department is absent from
giving updates.
Upon motion by Alderman Smith and seconded by Alderman Rodriguez, the minutes for February 10, 2026, and February 24, 2026, are approved.
Resolution 7 of 2026:
Lifting the 90-day moratorium is presented after much discussion. Alderman Smith motioned to
lift the 90- day moratorium, and Alderman Rodriguez seconded the motion. There is no public
input before the motion.
Resolution 8 of 2026: A resolution implementing a moratorium on any
new sewer connections on the following streets: Clinton Street, Burton Lane, Phillips Road,
Portions of Tangipahoa Road, and Silo Road, until the Silo Lift Station is upgraded. Upon
motion by Alderman Rodriguez and second by Alderman Smith, the motion is carried. There is
no public input before the motion.
The board tabled the occupational license request for OM Parkash LLC DBA T. G. Mart. The board would like the owner to be present for additional questions. A special meeting will be called once the owner is notified.
The mayor updates are as follows: applied for the LGAP Grant, all lift stations are operable, Keep Louisiana Beautiful
Clean Up day is April 25, 2026, at 10:00 am. If anyone is interested in volunteering, contact Ms.
Briggs.
Upon motion by Alderman Smith and second by Alderman Rodriguez, the meeting is
adjourned at 6:21 pm.
