The Mayor and City Council of the Town of Amite City will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the regular meeting place, 212 East Oak Street, Amite, LA for public input on the following ordinances:

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A 2.5% ANNUAL RAISE
Public Utilities Superintendent– Annual Raise to a salary of $73,228.57
ORDINANCE NO. 05-2026
AN ORDINANCE NAMING ROAD “CEFALU LANE”
Renaming Mulberry St. Extension
ORDINANCE NO. 06-2026
TOWN OF AMITE CITY AMENDMENT TO OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE GENERAL FUND AND ALL SPECIAL REVENUE FUNDS
