B. General Updates
Superintendent Stilley reported that she is working in partnership with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriffʼs Department and the national program Eddie the Eagle, which provides firearm safety education for children.
Mrs. Stilley also reminded parents of bus riders to download the Eulog app for bus tracking. Area managers are utilizing the app to communicate with parents and provide timely updates.
7. PERSONAL PRIVILEGE
A. Board Member Comments
Ms. Abrams, extended prayers for teacher Mrs. Johnson and her family. She also discussed the "Little Miss Louisiana Pageant" and encouraged participation.
Mr. Piazza, commended the administration and Superintendent Stilley for their actions during the Roseland crisis. He also recognized student Libney Hernandez, recipient of the YEA Award, for her achievements. Mr. Piazza expressed appreciation to the Board for its work on the vaping policy and concluded his remarks by welcoming back Coach Palmer to the Saints.
Mr. Anthony, commended the Board for its response to the Roseland crisis and reminded all to practice seat belt safety.
Mr. Tolar, commends the Board on the handling of the Roseland crisis. Mr. Tolar advised that every student and school should have a plan in place to learn. (Roseland) Requested for the board to continue praying for the Ham family.
8. LITIGATION
