PUBLIC NOTICE
TANGIPAHOA PARISH SCHOOL SYSTEM NOTICE OF BUDGET AVAILABILITY AND PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the provisions of La. R.S. 39:1306-1308 and La. R.S. 17:88(A) that the proposed annual operating budgets of the Tangipahoa Parish School System for the Fiscal Year 2026 - 2027 are available for public inspection. This includes the General Fund, Special Revenue Fund, Debt Service Fund, and Capital Projects Fund Budgets.
PUBLIC INSPECTION: Copies of the proposed budgets may be obtained at the School System’s Central O?ce, located at 59656 Puleston Road, Amite, Louisiana 70422, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 The documents can also be accessed online via the Tangipahoa Parish School System website under the Business Services Department tab.
PUBLIC HEARING & ADOPTION: A public hearing on the proposed budgets will be conducted to receive taxpayer and public comments. The hearing will take place prior to the regular meeting of the Tangipahoa Parish School Board on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 5:30 p.m..
LOCATION OF HEARING: School Boardroom, Tangipahoa Parish School System Central O?ce, 59656 Puleston Road, Amite, Louisiana 70422.
The School Board will consider formal adoption and legal enactment of the ?nal operating budgets following the conclusion of the public hearing at the next school board meeting held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026
