Monthly Council Meeting Minutes
The Village of Tickfaw Council met in a monthly meeting at 5:00pm on July 08,
2025. Mayor Lamonte called the meeting to order, Councilman Fedele, Councilman
Galofaro, Councilman Lemay, Chief DiBenedetto, and Attorney Trippi all were
present. All present received and reviewed the monthly financial statements. The
invocation was done by Mayor Lamonte followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

5. Planning & Zoning-
a.) Rene’ Casadaban- Tabled to next meeting on August 12, 2025, at 5pm
b.) Wanda Thomas – Planning and Zoning made a recommendation to approve the
permit for new Mobile home, with the stipulation that an occupancy permit will not
be issued until old structure is removed. Motion to approve the permit with
stipulations made by Fedele 2 nd : Lemay Votes (3)
c.) El Milagro Church- Planning and Zoning made a recommendation to approve
the building with a stipulation of 18 months to complete or they must reapply to
receive extra time. Motion to approve Galofaro 2 nd Fedele Votes (3)
6. Public Input-ANYONE WISHING TO ADDRESS ANY ITEM ON THE AGENDA

9. Old Business-
A.) Dorothy Lane Matter
- Nothing new to report currently.
B) Update on Love’s Truck Stop
– Making Progress new details in upcoming months
C) Annexation of El Ranchito and Flea Market
- Title work has been completed by the Village Attorney, needs to meet with owners.
Meetings between Attorney, Mayor and Owners of property will be scheduled in the
near future.
D) Malnar Property- Mayor Lamonte commended the owners of the property on the
progress made in cleaning up. He also addressed the cleanup of old tires. The cleanup
process is ongoing, and no time frame was given.
E) Moving Court Dates- Chief DiBenedetto asked that the Council make no changes to the
way court is handled at this time. Motion to remove from Agenda made by Lemay 2 nd
Fedele Votes (3)
G) Robert Fugarino with the Italian Festival – The Council address the buildings by the
RailRoad tracks being moved with Chairperson Robert Fugarino and other festival board
members in attendance. After a discussion the council made a motion to give the Italian
Festival until February 2026 to have the building moved to property on Sparacello.

Mayor agreed make accommodations to the Sparacello property to better house the Italian
Festivals Items.
Motion was made to allow The Italian Festival the use of Village property on Sparacello Ln
for a minimum of 10 years. Motion made by Fedele 2 nd Galofaro Votes (3)

12. Police Chief Report
- Chief DiBenedetto stated that everything went great with the Blessed Mother Feast.
13. Attorney Report
- None
14. Council Response
- Councilman Fedele and Councilman Lemay thanked Chief DiBenedetto and
everyone that came out for a successful Blessed Mother Feast.
15.Mayor Report
- Mayor Lamonte welcome the newest business in Tickfaw, Tiger Fuel Stop. He also
added that Jamie Watson is clearing his land and working with the wet land people to try
and get his business started. The mayor also mentioned grants that will hopefully be issued
to the village, that will include street overlay, beautification and water/sewer.
