Greetings, good people of Tangi, and welcome to the Sports Lounge!!
Chris Wright here, or CDub to most. It's a pleasure to virtually meet you all. Under the friendship and leadership of our illustrious publisher, I've been entrusted as one small piece to inform, and hopefully entertain, the masses of Tangipahoa! My cohost, Flo, is sitting on the bar stool next to me, and we are going to discuss the wide world of sports with you every week in this column. There will be sports news, fanfare, and just maybe even a sampling of oddity from around the country or even around the world. If a smile crosses your face when reading a CDub, well, my mission was accomplished.
From my years in Metry to Jesuit to LSU, I know that you may go to other states, but you never forget your roots and what makes Louisiana the greatest. It's the people, as we all know. A head nod, a smile, or a “how ya doin” can quickly turn strangers to friends. I thank The Ponchatoula Times and the readers, and I look forward to this experience and making some new friends!
