Independence Football Recap

This week, ladies and gentlemen, was different and not only for the Tigers football team, but the community. This game wasn’t a game, it wasn’t a fellowship or a reunion; it was a wakeup call.

Although the Tigers lost 45-20 to the Pope John Paul II Jaguars, they found some new tools. Trailing the whole game then pushing through in the 4th quarter, the Tigers put up a fight, giving the Jaguars a little shake. New players were given chances and took advantage of those chances, narrowing the score gap late in the game.

Like every loss though, it was nothing to celebrate, but it did provide a valuable lesson for the wise. With two weeks left in the season the team will use this wisdom that was just awakened.
