Jewel Sumner defeated Ponchatoula 12-3 last Thursday night in Albany, behind a two-touchdown game from running back Jamohn Dyson.
Ponchatoula started off the game with a fumble recovery to put the Wave inside the 10-yard line but Sumner’s defense was able to stop them on downs. The Green Wave managed to score first, courtesy of a 29-yard field goal from Alex Lloyd.
