The wait is finally over, and the 2026 LHSAA football campaign kicked off with a bang.
Football fans got an early treat when action got underway Thursday night, starting with the head coaching debut of Tony Salim at Springfield. Salim’s Bulldogs hit the ground running on the road, putting together a dominant offensive performance in a 48-8 victory over Collegiate of Baton Rouge.
