Due to tornado risks on Saturday Krewe du Pooch has decided to reschedule for Sunday. Mandeville’s 6th Annual Krewe Du Pooch Dog Parade and Costume Contest had a record-breaking year last year and wants to do it again in 2025.

This week’s Campus Corner sees the Southeastern Lady Lions at the pinnacle, starting at NCAA postseason play. Top-seeded SLU had very little trouble with Incarnate Word, knocking off the Lady Cardinals 57-37 in the semifinals of the Southland Conference Tournament in Lake Charles on Wednesday.

On February 27, 2025, the Hammond Police Department Narcotics Division was patrolling George Perkins Senior Drive when detectives observed a vehicle partially parked in the roadway. As detectives passed the vehicle, they observed it was occupied and could smell marijuana coming from inside.
