Over the past few years, select Tangipahoa Parish roads have experienced transformations from intersections to traffic circles, or “roundabouts,” as they are known around the world.The oldest traffic circle in the area exists at the meeting of South Airport Road and Old Covington Hwy.

Judah Fastring of Northlake Christian School was the overall senior winner of the 2025 Region 8 Science Fair at Southeastern Louisiana University Feb. 7. His winning project, “Annealing PLA 3D Prints,” received first place honors in the engineering mechanics category.

On February 5, 2025, the Hammond Police Department responded to a report of multiple vehicle burglaries at Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, located at 305 C.M. Fagan Drive. Upon arrival, HPD officers discovered two vehicles were burglarized, with multiple items taken from both vehicles.
