National Garden Week

Gardenettes will celebrate National Garden Week for the third year by giving away free pass-along plants, seeds and gardening books on June 2-7 at the Ponchatoula Branch of the Tangipahoa Library, 380 North Fifth St. The announcement was made by Marilyn Wright, club chairman for the event.

Raise-A-Reader

On May 6, 2025, four members representing Tangipahoa Volunteers for Family and Community (TVFC) recently delivered 100 Raise-A-Reader packets to North Oaks Hospital. TVFC consists of two clubs: Wednesday Volunteers and Sunshine Ladies.

Ponchatoula History Presentation Thursday

On Thursday, May 15, historian Jim Perrin will host a PowerPoint presentation on the early history of the Ponchatoula community. The program will be held at 6:00pm in the Ponchatoula branch of the Tangipahoa Parish Library on North Fifth Street.
