With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Bonnie Stumpf, age 69, of Ponchatoula, LA, who left us peacefully on November 12, 2023. She was born to Florence and Harold Behner on December 31, 1953, in Oberlin, Ohio. Bonnie spent her childhood on a family farm, surrounded by the beauty and simplicity of nature. This early life on the farm helped shape her nurturing nature, a defining trait she carried throughout her life.
Bonnie was a woman of many passions and talents. Alongside her love for nurturing plants, she had a deep affinity for music and art. She enjoyed playing the piano and saxophone, and her creative spirit shone brightly in her ceramics, crafting beautiful and unique pieces.
Bonnie dedicated her life to her family, bestowing love and care as a devoted wife to Kenneth and a loving mother to Kenneth Jr. and Sean. Her role as a homemaker was a testament to her strength, love, and dedication. She created a warm, welcoming home with abundant laughter and love, and her presence was a comforting constant.
A funeral service to celebrate Bonnie’s life will be held at Hughes Funeral Service on November 17, 2023.
Her kind and compassionate spirit, unwavering support for her loved ones, and joy in the simple things of life remain an inspiration to us all. Bonnie will be dearly missed, but her memory and the love she shared will forever be cherished in our hearts.
