Francis, 80, a native of Grand Caillou, LA, and a resident of Ponchatoula, LA, slipped peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 23, 2023.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, RayLee Menendez Avet; daughter, Cindy Avet; son, Tony Avet (Renee); stepdaughter, Melissa Powell; stepson, Leon Powell; sisters, Delores Authement (Willard), Louella Zeringue (Cecil), Yvonne Ordoyne (Michael), and Elaine Broady (Jess); brothers, Ranis Avet (Janice), Merlin Avet; three grandsons; and one greatgranddaughter. Francis is preceded in death by his parents, Francis J. and Lucia Avet; stepson, Michael Powell; and sister, Lorina Boudreaux.
