Sandra, 89, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023. She was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Pasadena, Texas, and Hammond, LA. Sandra chose a career of giving comfort and care to hurting individuals as a Nursing Assistant. She was a tremendously gifted gardener who loved her plants. Her pride and joy was her huge, fruitful orange tree that she had grown from a tiny seed. Sandra was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sandra is survived by her nieces, Rosie Sparacello Kelly (Bruce) and Brenda Gasperecz Harrington (Jeff); nephews, Sal Sparacello (Marie Baiamonte), Jimmy Sparacello (Vera), David Mauro, and Douglas Mauro; sister-in-law, Frances Mauro; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Mauro and Rosa Giovingo Mauro; sister, Catherine Ann Mauro; and brother, Joseph Mauro.
