In the December 7, 2023, issue of The Tangi Times, we wished a happy Centennial Birthday to Lillian Orgeron Gaubert. She left this world the very next day, just two days after her 100th birthday. We know that she had an amazing life, having experienced an entire century on earth, and that God has already welcomed her into his kingdom.
Lillian Orgeron Gaubert, a resident of Ponchatoula, LA, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 6, 1923, in Gretna, LA, and was 100 years of age. She is survived by her daughter, Mildred Gaubert; four sons, Roy J. Gaubert, Jr., James Gaubert, Lionel Gaubert, and Melvin Gaubert, Sr., as well as Allen Orgeron, Sr. whom she raised; twelve grandchildren, Warren, Anthony, Roddy, Heidi, Heddi, Jennifer, Bridgette, Aaron, Melvin, Jr., Ryan, Danielle, and Allen Jr.; fifteen great-grandchildren, Timothy, Kenneth, Seth, Thomas, Brittany, Aaron, Jr., Tabby, Leslie, Hannah, Austin, Meghan, Abagail, Luke, Kyra, and Lexi; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Gaubert, Sr.; son, Daniel Gaubert; grandson, Anthony Gaubert; parents, Joseph and Gladys Rogers Orgeron; and two brothers, Ernest and Andrew Orgeron.
