John S. Manzella, 80, peacefully passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, in Hammond, LA. He was born on October 11, 1943, to the late Mary and Placito Manzella in Hammond, LA. John was known to be a firecracker, small but mighty, who would say anything that came to his mind. He enjoyed sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee while solving all the world’s problems. John was a skilled welder by trade but preferred fishing over anything else. If he wasn’t fishing or playing cards, he was spending time with his family and making lasting memories they will cherish forever.
He leaves behind his daughters, Denise Passman (Ricky), Diane Kelley (Jerry), Lisa Reulet, and Tammy Benton (Doug); nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson that he adored. Preceding him in death were his parents; beloved wife, Nellie Ann Locicero Manzella; granddaughter, Danyell Duplaisir; brother, Jack Manzella; and sister, Angie Gerage.
