MaKenzie earned her angel wings on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the age of 6 years old. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, LA. MaKenzie was fiercely strong and overcame many obstacles of SMA. She never let anything stand in her way of what she wanted and faced everything fearlessly. MaKenzie was a bright, beautiful girl full of spunk and sass. She liked snuggling up on the sofa with her iPad or playing with her tools. MaKenzie was a daddy’s girl and loved her dances with Dad. She liked to go fast and would go as fast as she could in her wheelchair up and down the hall and liked it when someone would run her legs as fast as they could go. MaKenzie was a ray of sunshine in the life of everyone who knew her. She was loved deeply by so many and will be forever missed.
MaKenzie is survived by her loving parents, Bryan and Kylie Burleson, and Birth Mother, Haley Johnson Landry, and husband, Darrin Landry; her baby sister, Kylie Landry; Maternal Grandmother, Kelli Hargroder, Paternal Grandparents, Connie and Michael Holden, Bob and Terri Burleson, and Gary and Liz Johnson; Aunts and Uncles, Chasta and Wesley Feucht, Trisha Thibodeaux, Lauren and Xavier Schultz, Ashley Johnson, Jennifer and Jaime Alleyn, and many other loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Ronnie Thibodeaux.
