Patrick Salvador Governale, 82, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023. He was born on March 7, 1941, to the late John and Rosa Governale in Independence, LA. Patrick retired as a Senior Master Sergeant after 28 years of dedicated service in the United States Air Force. He continued his career with the Air Force as a civilian contracted employee for 27 additional years, giving him 55 total years of service to his beloved country. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He made friends that became family.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Robin Governale (Doug McDonald); grandchildren, Lacey Wilson (Marshall) and Patrick “Boo” Driskill (Cecily); greatgrandchildren, Marley Wilson, Lily-Ann Wilson, and August Driskill; sister, Rosalie Delaughter (Mike); numerous nieces and nephews; former wife, Patricia Ann Governale; and fur baby, Sassy. A special acknowledgment to friend and caregiver Peggy Vicari.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Angelo and John Governale; sisters, Jenny Lewis, Frances Lewis, Josie Schiro, Angelina Adamo, Little Margaret Governale, Margaret Fresina, and Maryann Adamo; and his furbaby, Sake.
