Dominant game 1 pitching helped the Southeastern baseball team claim their fifth weekend series in as many tries, this one coming on the road in Nacogdoches, TX, in a Southland Conference matchup with Stephen F. Austin.

The Southeastern softball team hit the road for the first time in Southland Conference play in the Lone Star State in a 3-game series at Houston Christian over the weekend. Coach Rick Fremin’s team entered on a 4-game winning streak, including three wins to start SLC play at home last week.

The Tulane Green Wave baseball team won four out of the five games they played last week.At this point in the season the Tulane baseball team has a record of 15-5.All five games were home games for the Green Wave played at Turchin Stadium in New Orleans.The Green Wave played two weekday games.

The run for the Southland Conference Champion Lady Lions in the SLC Tournament came to a bitterly disappointing end, as top-seeded Southeastern fell 65-57 to Stephen F. Austin’s Ladyjacks.The difference in the game was the free throw line. S.F.

Lady Lions Lady Softball Action

It was quite an impressive start to Southland Conference play for Coach Rick Fremin’s Lady Lion Softball team, who swept a 3-game home series over East Texas A&M over the weekend. The trio of victories put SLU, winners of eight of their last nine, at 19-7 on the year and 9-0 in Hammond.

Lions on the Hardwood

The Southeastern Lion basketball team traveled deep into the state of Texas to do battle with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. SLU brought a record of 18-11 and 12-6 in Southland Conference play and a shot at second place and a double bye in the SLC tournament, which begins on March 9 in Lake Charles.

Tulane Loses Series to Pepperdine

The Tulane Green Wave baseball team lost a three game series to the Pepperdine Waves, two games to one over the weekend.The first game of the series hosted at Eddie D. Field Stadium in Malibu, California, was played on Friday afternoon. Pepperdine won that game 2-1.

Lady Lions on the Diamond

The Lady Lion softball team continued their winning ways over the weekend, sweeping five games in the Mardi Gras Mambo in Youngsville. Things got started with a pair of games on Friday – the first against the Maine Black Bears. All the scoring came early, as SLU took a 6-1 win in the opener.
