The Southeastern Lions football team went deep into the heart of Texas for their final tune-up before Southland Conference play over the weekend, falling by a count of 36-33 at Tarleton State.

The winning streak stretched to double digits for the Southeastern volleyball team, who took a pair of matches to start Southland Conference play. SLU picked up their first win in conference play with a three-game sweep of Lamar in Hammond last Thursday, 25-11, 25-16, and 25-23.

We entered week three of the LHSAA Football Season with three undefeated teams; two lost, but oddly enough, we still have two.Going into last week’s action, Albany, Jewel Sumner, and Loranger all sported 2-0 marks. The Cowboys’ 40-28 win over the Wolves propelled Sumner to 3-0 while LHS fell to 2-1.

Tulane Defeats Louisiana Lafayette

The Tulane Green Wave defeated the University of Louisiana Lafayette (ULL) Ragin’ Cajuns 41-33 at Cajun field on Saturday in college football action.The Green Wave had a 17-13 lead over the Ragin’ Cajuns at halftime.
