Referees Help Kansas State Defeat Tulane

The Kansas State Wildcats defeated the Tulane Green Wave 34-27 at the Ocean with some help from the officials.With seconds left in the game, a referee made a horrible call of offensive pass interference on Dontae Fleming, a Tulane player who was not the intended receiver.

After an 0-3 start at BYU’s doTERRA Classic, the Southeastern volleyball team headed to West Texas to participate in the Borderland Invitational in El Paso. Thursday, Jeremy White’s squad were swept by the host school, UTEP, 25-10, 25-17 and 25-23.

For the first time in a decade, the Independence Tigers squared off with their traditional rivals, the Loranger Wolves, on the gridiron. For visiting LHS, it was well worth the wait, as Loranger knocked off IHMS 36-6 in the only match-up of two Tangi teams.

The Green Wave football team traveled to Walker this past Friday for their season opener, hoping for a great start but facing the opposite. Walker started off the first quarter with a 7-yard rushing touchdown by Caden Jones and a field goal to end the first quarter with a 9-0 lead.

Tulane Defeats Southeastern

The Tulane Green Wave defeated the Southeastern Lions 52-0 in college football action in front of 20,143 fans at the Ocean (Yulman Stadium) in New Orleans.The game was the opening game of the season for both Tulane and Southeastern.
