The Tulane Green Wave won a three-game weekend baseball series against the American Athletic Conference opponent, the Wichita State Shockers, two games to one last weekend in Kansas.Tulane won the first game of the series on Friday 13-8.

Pratt and Jackson Taken in the NFL Draft, Haynesworth to the Saints

Tulane wide receiver Jha’Quan Jackson and quarterback Michael Pratt were drafted in this year’s NFL Draft. The New Orleans Saints added Tulane center Sincere Haynesworth as an undrafted free agent.Jackson was taken in the sixth round by the Tennessee Titans.

Hitter of the Week

For the sixth time in 12 weeks, a Lady Lion softball player has been named the Jersey Mike’s Southland Conference Hitter of the Week – and for the second time, it’s Maddie Watson.The Baton Rouge native helped SLU go 5-0, sweeping a pair from Alcorn State and an SLC weekend series from Lamar.

For only the second time in 2024, the Southeastern softball team is on a losing streak after dropping two out of three on the bayou over the weekend. After the opener, the Lady Lions dropped games two and three, losing their first SLC series of the year.

The Lady Wave softball team kept their playoff hopes alive as they won two thrilling games last week, both in walk-off fashion.The week started off against Slidell on Tuesday in the second round of the state playoffs at home.

The brooms came out at North Oaks Park as the Lady Lion softball swept a Southland Conference series from the Northwestern State Demons over the weekend. The three wins over NSU saw Southeastern claim their seventh straight in SLC play, and the record to 13-2 in conference and 36-8 on the year.
