Good Week for Tulane Baseball

The Tulane Green Wave baseball team had a good week last week winning three of its four games.Tulane’s record at this point in the college baseball season is 20-16 overall and 5-7 in the American Athletic Conference.

The Lady Wave softball team finished off their regular season last week with a 19-0 win over Hammond in only 3 innings.Sydni Stanga homered twice in the second inning with a solo home run and a grand slam. She also pitched all three innings, only allowing one hit and picking up 6 strikeouts.

Lions Baseball

It was an unlucky number seven for the Southeastern baseball team, who were swept on the road over the weekend, dropping three straight at Southland Conferenceleading Lamar.

Hitter of the Week

These days, it seems like you can almost set your watch by it: Monday afternoon, 2 o’clock - the Southland Conference issues a press release honoring a Southeastern athlete.The latest is Lady Lion softball’s Audrey Greely, who was named the Jersey Mike’s SLC Hitter of the Week.

Tulane Goes Two and Two for the Week

The Tulane Green Wave baseball team went 2-2 last week.Tulane’s record is now 17-15 overall and 3-6 in the American Athletic Conference.The Green Wave started the week with a decisive win over the Texas Southern Tigers 19-1. The game ended after seven innings due to the 10-run rule.

Lions Baseball

Hoping to carry the momentum of a walk-off win over Southern Miss, the Southeastern Lion baseball team welcomed arch-rival, Nicholls, to Pat Kennelly Diamond at Alumni Field. SLU entered the contest sitting at .500 in Southland play and looking to stop a two-game skid in the SLC.

SLU Softball

The Southeastern Softball team spent some time in the land of fun and sun last week, picking up four out-of-conference wins in the Golden State to run their record to 28-7 on the year. The midweek sets started on Wednesday in Stockton against the University of the Pacific.

Over the first three months of 2024, it has become clear that you can count on certain things: The weather is going to be inconsistent, Bailey Krolczyk will be at the plate, The Southland Conference will honor a Southeastern Athlete.
